The importance of this book can be illustrated in a nice way by an incident reported in the book of Mahdi Maood: by the most honorable Ayatullah Ali Dawani, quoting from Miraat Ahwal Jahaan Numa of Agha Ahmad Kermanshahi as follows:

“I heared from a very reliable person that he was on a sea voyage when they were caught up in a terrible storm leading to shipwreck. After being lost in the sea, they somehow managed to reach an island, which apparantly did not had any sign of Islam.

But when they searched for shelter, they came to house of a man, who surprisingly turned out to be a Muslim. They asked him: Though apparently there is no sign of Islam on this island and you have also never traveled to any other place; then how do you happen to be a Muslim?

Instead of replying, the man went inside his house, brought out a book and said: The people of my tribe and I have accepted Islam on the nobiliy and teachings of this book.

The book was none other than Haqqul Yaqeen of Allamah Majlisi .”
