Allah (s.w.t.), the most honored says in Quran: Whoever performs good deeds they are only preparing the means of comfort for themselves.
Sura: Rome, Ayat: 44

Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.): if a person is dragged by the head while obeying Allah (s.w.t.) from the day he was born until the day he becomes old and is dead, then even he would consider it little and would desire to be sent back again to the world so that he would earn some more goodness and virtues.

Imam Ali (a.s.): Among the good deeds best are those for which to perform, one has to force the inner self. Instead of talking it is required for you to display good deeds by action. A person’s well wishing companion is only his good actions.
